EFEXOR-XR has risks and benefits. Consult your doctor to see if EFEXOR-XR is right for you. Use strictly as directed. Do not take EFEXOR-XR if you have an allergy to venlafaxine or any other capsule ingredients; are on monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MA01s) or have taken MAOIs in the last 14 days.
Use with caution if you have a history of aggression, restlessness, glaucoma, kidney, liver, blood pressure or heart problems, raised cholesterol, a history of fits, a history or family history of bipolar disorder, abnormal bleeding tendencies, are diabetic, pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines.
Common side effects include constipation, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, difficulty sleeping, tiredness, headache and sweeting. Serious but not common side effects include skin rash, swelling of face or body, tremors, fever, chills, fainting, fits, confusion, agitation, restlessness, fast heart-beat, shortness of breath, bleeding or bruising more easily than normal, frequent infections such as sore throat and mouth ulcers, blood in the Stool or vomit, muscle pain or cramps. If you have any side effects see your doctor.
Contains venlafaxine hydrochloride 37.5 mg, 75 mg or 150 mg.
